A box of twelve late 1930’s to early 1940’s embossed Corning Glass Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments were made just before the start of World War II. T he Steuben design staff submitted several fanciful designs with a strong symbolism of America & Patriotism. A dozen of these designs were chosen for production classified as “Molded Fancies”. These are some of those first chosen fancy designs. The earliest Corning fanciful designs are some of the most striking ornaments ever made. The Corning Glass Works Co. Was noted for their bright, bold and beautiful paint colors. These were experimental designs were produced for a very short period of time. They are rare and difficult to find. This box contains: Star Reflectors, Plain/Beaded Lanterns, Fancy Bells, Teardrop, Painted Bulb with paper cap and string and Pine Cones.
