When we say VINTAGE, we mean that this piece was produced between 1890 and 1940 – The “Golden Age of Christmas Ornaments”. When we say ANTIQUE, we mean any ornament produced more than 25 years ago. When we say OP – OLD PRODUCTION, we mean that this piece was made utilizing the original glass blowing methods, paints and molds. When we say NP – NEW PRODUCTION, we mean that this piece was made using the original molds, but utilizing the new glass and painting techniques. When we use the term R – RARITY SCALE, R-1 is the most rare piece as defined by John Lightner and George Johnson. R-4 is the most common. “Boy with Hands in Pockets” NP – R3.
