This LIGHT BLUE Santa ornament was recently acquired from an estate. The family had a special box containing several well loved and highly treasured heirloom ornaments. This wonderful ornament was safely stored among them. It is only because of their love and care that we can bring you this unique and special item! This ornament is over 100 years old and is absolutely stunning. Be sure to LOOK AT ALL THE SHARP DETAILS that are IN THE GLASS! This Santa has a thick full beard and an amazing moustache. His facial features are also very well defined: eyes, nose, and cheeks. You can see every crease in his coat and pants along with the nicely textured fur trim. The layers of branches on the tiny tree are sharply detailed as well. A nice pontil mark is visible on the bottom… A testament to it’s age. This ornament is an antique that was pre-owned and well cared for. The surface exhibits minor signs of use and wear. Santa was hand painted with organic lacquers. His light blue coat has a pearlized, iridescent glow with minimal loss of paint. The colors on this ornament are pastel and/or faded. The interior silvering is very weak and offers a nice translucence for light to shine through, giving a special effect. No chips or cracks.
