Please check out all the other lots. For sale is a very RARE antique BELL with HORSE and RIDER Christmas ornament from Germany c. This ornament is quite unique in that it combines a pink colored glass bell (wire-wrapped) with an early lithographed tin horse and rider jumping over the bell. The horse/rider is not marked, but it was probably made by Meier or one of the other early German tin toy manufacturers. The ornament has a thick crinkled hanging wire at top and also three attached red composition berries. A similar example of this ornament is pictured on page 195 in John Lightner’s book “Christmas Rarities”. The ornament remains in very good condition with some wear to the pink coloring on the bell (mostly at the top and bottom edges). It measures 4 1/4 high.
