Item for your consideration is a rare early turkey clip glass ornament. It is in great condition- tail is missing- which is common for this ornament. The turkey gobbler is red annealed glass. He measures 3-1/2 long and 4 high. The clip is strong and has no issues. Minor paint flake on its back. Photos have been taken in natural and artificial light. Please be aware that vintage clothing fits differently than today’s clothing. If the item does not fit the way you prefer it is not due to my item as’not as described’. Beautiful double sided turkey on a clip Christmas ornament. Colorful turkey is gold with bright pink and turquoise blue feathers. Each side is beautiful with the full tail feathers and gorgeous colors. Minimal paint and silvering loss. There may be some spotting or scratches. Larger size at Approx. 5″ L with clip and 3″ W. Wonderful full feathered turkey ornament. He has a large full feathered tail in back and large feathered wings on the sides. He has his red wattle displayed proudly on/under his beak and a feathered puffy chest. Two tiny black eyes on his head. Wonderful detail on his feathering. I think this is painted white with remnants of red here are there including the wattle. However, tends to look silver and red. There is vintage paint loss and he has lost silvering from mid side wings up to pike. 2 3/4″ L x 2 1/4 ” W. He is an wonderful harder to find turkey ornament and he would make a great addition to any collection. Please contact me with any questions. The Bah Humbug Shop Presents. This is a lovely antique glass Christmas ornament that is a turkey. This blown glass item is quite old according to the family. They remember it from the late 1930’s. It is a clip on branch ornament but I did not test the clip short of seeing that it does move. The turkey is made of glass with some of the original paint worn off. It has a cute blown glass face! It does have an interesting tail. We think it is supposed to be glass but rather someone has placed an old artificial spring of pine in their and fanned it out. Actually makes it seem more “Christmasy”. Great old ornament will be wrapped in bubble wrap, double boxed, with no movement allowed and insured. Let the crabby elves at the Bah Humbug shop help you decorate this holiday season.. Just don’t expect them to be jolly about it.
