This listing is for a box of 12 WW2 era unsilvered Christmas tree ornaments in random sizes and styles. They vary in design. 3 of them are opaque. 2 have a paper hanger. Some of the caps have writing on them but they are not very legible to be able to read them. There is some with areas of paint loss, spotting, and dustiness. This was restrung from all vintage mercury glass beads that I have been collecting for several years. Please view all pictures – Almost every bead is special and rare on this garland. Some of the beads were blown free form – some were mold blown. The free form beads are quite fragile and come from the late 1800’s – Early 1900’s – amazing that they have been around for 100+ years without being broken! These have seen many years of use and as such have some expected wear – or Patina. This includes flaking paint, loss of silvering (“smoky” effect), chipped pikes. The beads that were free form blown – are often not perfectly symmetrical. All of these “flaws” add up to a very pretty garland that will be sure to add elegance to your décor. These are a Dozen Vintage Shiny Brite Glass Christmas Ornaments – Mica, UFO, Round Stripes. Dozen Vintage Shiny Bite ornaments featuring: 8 mica, 7 silvered ; 5 unsilvered – mostly pink/red & teal/green with yellow accents. Ornaments measure 3 long x 2 wide. No chips or cracks. All ornaments except one have the familiar Shiny Brite ribbed, scalloped cap that says SHINY BRITE MADE IN U. Wear consistent with age: one. Cap is slightly smashed (see last phot); loss of mica; chipped paint; fading of colors; darkened spots/areas; loss of silvering; surface soiling; crazing of paint.
