This unique ornament is Handblown and handpainted. It has milk glass eyes. Unfortunately overtime one eye was lost. There is paint loss and wear to this beautiful old piece of history. There are no chips or cracks. Top is covered by original metal topper. It is HTF Little Red Riding Hood. Also, replacement eyes can be found at a hobby store. Please see photos for condition.

Antique German Glass Little Red Riding Hood Doll Face Christmas Ornament. This girl looks pretty good for 100! She didn’t come to me that way though. Her face was completely silver and she looked kinda scary. My goal as an artist is to return these hand made ornaments to the condition that was originally intended. She is three inches tall. The “wrinkles” around her eyes are in the original glass hand-blown and molded ornament. Undoubtedly from Lascha, the birthplace of glass Christmas ornaments. The glass eyes are original to the piece. Often, these are missing as they are adhered with sealing wax. The red paint is original. I don’t restore any part that doesn’t need it. Internal silvering is strong. I will be presenting a workshop on ornament restoration at the next convention of “The Golden Glow of Christmas Past” in 2022.
