Complete box of four rare, LARGE 1950s-era Fantasia brand Christmas tree ornaments. Poland resumed importing Christmas ornaments to the United States in 1947, and these date to the mid-to-late 1950s. The motifs are wonderful all hand-painted on a soft, satiny background, with embellishments of matte tempera colors. Snowy-white glass glitter mica and tarnished silver glitter. Completely hand-blown and hand-painted No two ornaments are exactly alike, with all the beauty of hand-craftsmanship! Produced when ornament production was still a family, cottage industry in traditional European village fashion. Ornament manufacturing occurred in the home, with each family member responsible for a portion of production. Even though all the ornaments were all of the same style, each family’s ornaments possessed unique traits and qualities. “FANTASIA BRAND, made in POLAND”. This particular motif of Fantasia brand Christmas tree ornaments is the most sought after and the hardest to find. There are other motifs for example log cabins and standing or walking Santa, however, the “Santa in Sleigh with Reindeer”. Is the most beloved and is getting harder to find with each holiday season. Here you have four which is in itself incredible. Vintage Jumbo Painted Mercury Glass Christmas Ornaments. Santa’s Standing in his Sleigh. Hand Painted and Glittered. Fantasia Brand Made in Poland. One CHAMPAGNE ornament Santa is dressed in his Red Santa Suit glittered with Black Mica. His Sleigh is Blue and carrying 3 Green Mica Christmas Trees. Three more Green Mica Christmas Trees fill the remaining back area. Sleigh is pulled by a big White Reindeer who is glittered with Black Mica wearing a Blue collar and red bells. There are glittered stars in the sky and a wide ring of White Mica around the bottom accented with Blue Glitter. It has a Poland cap. One GOLD ornament Santa is dressed in his Red Santa Suit glittered with Black Mica. His Sleigh is Navy Blue and carrying 3 Green Mica Christmas Trees. Sleigh is pulled by a big White Reindeer who is glittered with Black Mica wearing a Navy Blue collar and red bells. One LIGHT GREEN ornament Santa is dressed in his Gold Santa Suit glittered with Black Mica. His Sleigh is red and carrying 3 White Mica Christmas Trees. Sleigh is pulled by a big White Reindeer who is glittered with Black Mica wearing a Red collar and gold bells. One GREEN ornament Santa is dressed in his Gold Santa Suit glittered with Black Mica. Three more WHITE Mica Christmas Trees fill the remaining back area. Due to the fact that these ornaments are blown, they average between 3 1/8″ to 3 1/2″ diameter; and 3 1/2″ to 4″ high to the tops of the caps. These ornaments are in used vintage condition.
