Turn of the 19th Century. The Santa is quite unique, in that he has Blue Cheille over wire Legs, with Composition Boots. Very hard to find this one, and quite DESIRED by collectors. The Ornament measures approximately 5 1/2 high. The Glass has no chips, cracks or breaks. Expected wear to the painted surface. Chenille is clean, and of strong color. Composition Boots have no damage. Please view photos for conditio. A fantastic addition to your Antique Christmas Ornament collection.

Antique 1890s German wax composition angel ornament. Scalloped spun glass wings. Tight curly blonde mohair wig. Light pink or peach thread skirt with red border. Looks like left eye has been scratched off. Overall, quite clean and beautiful for an ornament made in the 1800s. Measures: 3 1/2 inches long. Please see the other angel I have in a separate listing. Composition Angel Christmas Ornament with Glass Spun Wings and Silk Hair – 1880’s. This early angel Christmas ornament has glass spun wings on a composition body covered in a wax film. The face is hand-painted with what appears to be silk coiled hair. The angel is wearing a fine fishnet garment. When the string is pulled, the wings extend. I believe this ornament is German.
