Antique Figural German Glass Christmas Ornament BULLDOG CHENILLE ARMS & LEGS R2. This is is a very rare German bulldog ornament and its considered an R2 rarity in the Lightner book. There is a small hole in the ornament so please see photo 9 and it looks like the arms are glued. This ornament has some fading and it has some crazing to it as well. (photo 9) In photo nine it also looks like a crack can be seen. I don’t think this is a crack and believe this is damage from crazing. In photo ten you can see no light coming through. In that photo up by the connector it looks like a hole. This is a spot of missing paint and in the sun looks like a hole. Photo eleven is a close up of that spot to show there is no hole. With something like this every collector is different as to what flaws they find acceptable and what flaws they do not, especially when it comes to very hard to find items like this item.
