19th century German Mercury Glass Kugel Christmas Ornament with original brass fittings in Cobalt Blue. This authentic cobalt blue Kugel ornament is a beautiful addition to your Christmas decor. With its stunning cobalt blue color and round shape, this 19th century ornament is handmade and was originally made in Germany in the late 1800s. Kugels are colored from within the glass, not painted or finished on the outside, and the mercury silvering is on the inside. The ornament has magnificent deep cobalt coloring and excellent mirroring. Perfect for collectors or those who appreciate vintage decorations. It’s quite large in size and heavy, over 4-3/4 inches diameter (closer to 5 inches high due to the slightly domed top) with a circumference of 15 inches.
