This listing is for a new in box with tag original issue Plaza Hotel New York City Night Scene Christmas ornament from the 2010 collection. The hand blown ornament is hand-painted glass in ombré with a black background on one side that blends into a copper color on the opposite side. The black background, which depicts the night, has a painting of the hotel bathed in various shades of blue and yellow reflections. The street lamps are lit surrounding the hotel. The flags flying on the hotel’s facade are from the US, Norway, Canada, and a green and white horizontal striped flag along with blue and white horizontal striped flag both of which could represent a variety of flags. There are snowflakes represented by a mixture of gold and silver dots of glitter throughout the ornament. The copper colored side of the ornament has the glittery dots along with “The Plaza” written in gold glitter and with the back to back double P hotel logo also in gold glitter. The ornament was made in Poland for the USA based Joy to the World Collectibles exclusively for the Plaza Hotel. Each glass ornament takes seven days to complete from the blowing of the glass to the final touches of glitter. Every stage of making this ornament is done entirely by hand. This is from the hotel’s 2010 ornament collection and is part of the original issue of that particular ornament. I never displayed it. The photos are of all sides, top and bottom. The ornament pictured is the same one you will receive. The ornament is in mint condition. Its box has some edge wear and storage wear.
