36 Glass Christmas Ornaments Late 1940s to early 1960s. Vintage (mostly Painted) Glass Ornaments. 25 single INDENTS with fluted reflectors. 6 pretty STRIPED BELLS. And 5 DECORATED ORBS with Stripes and/or Flowers for your feather tree BRIGHT & COLORFUL Lot. No damage seen and “very little” wear! Guessing about 1/2 of the backs of the indents are silver the others have a stripe or floral pattern…. Silver is very nice on these little ornaments All have their tiny old Japan metal caps and are ready to be hung and enjoyed! Item description below photos. Old Christmas Tree with Decorations. Tree stands 16 1/2″ when measured from the base to the tip of glass tree topper; the width of the tree is 10″. The five lower branches have the original candle holders intact. Please note one of the lower branches is more loose than the others, but a little strand of wire can easily fix that issue. The paper “bark” is peeled in spots, but nothing too bad and tree trunk is solid and straight. Top branch is missing its feathers and the wire is folded in half to support the mercury glass tree top ornament. Included with this tree are all the decorations seen in the pictures: 7 early bumpy bell ornaments glass bead garland 11 metal bird clips 4 1/2 glass tree topper The metal bird clips are made in Japan and they all work properly. The glass bead garland is the perfect size for this tree measuring 45. Please note there are a couple of broken beads, but strand is in good shape overall with normal age-related silver loss. Wooden tree base marked in purple ink “Made in Germany”. We are including the modern candles seen in the photos, but, hopefully, the next owner has some period candles to go with this lovely old tree. Enlarge images for better detail.
