Offered for sale is a highly desirable antique German kugel Christmas tree ornament manufactured during the early 1900s. The ornament is made of gold mercury glass, and it is in the berry form with its original brass top and O ring. The ornament stands about 3 3/4 tall and has a max. Diameter of about 3 1/2 across the middle. The overall condition of the kugel is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or broken areas. The gold mercury color has no flaking or loss on the interior, which is tough to find on these. Many have areas of flaking which result in clear transparent areas. The surface has standard wear in the form of rubbing and light scratches. The brass top and O ring look tremendous and display no tarnishing or splits.
