This ornament is silvered and the face eyes and hair are painted. I believe the ornament is German circa 1920’s – 30’s due to normal wear you would expect from a period ornament. It is in Good condition apart from some moderate silvering losses most of which are on the back and top of the ornament. The boys face and body show only minor silvering and paint losses. An example of this ornament is in the “Pictorial Guide to Christmas Ornaments and Collectibles” by George Johnson on page 105 top right.
