VERY RARE GLASS APPLE WITH FACE ANTIQUE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT. A WONDERFUL OLD, UNIQUE AND RARE ANTIQUE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT OF AN APPLE WITH A FACE. IT IS GUARANTEED TO BE AN OLD PRODUCTION AND ORIGINAL. IT IS A ROUND SHAPE WITH LEAVES SHOWING AT BOTH SIDES OF THE TOP. IT HAS LOTS OF DETAIL IN THE FACE. IT HAS WRINKLES AROUND THE EYES, A PROTRUDING NOSE AND CHEEKS. HE ALSO HAS A GREAT SMILE. THE BOTTOM IS CREASED AND DIMPLED. THE BASE COLOR WAS ORIGINALLY A FROSTED CREAM COLOR, BUT SOME OF THE FROSTING HAS WORN AWAY AND MAY CONTINUE. THE NEW OWNER PROBABLY SPRAY IT WITH AN ARTIST FIXATIVE. THERE IS A BIT OF DARKENING OF THE SILVERING AT THE LEAD METAL CAP. OTHER THAT THOSE FLAWS, HE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR AN ORNAMENT THAT IS AT LEAST 70 YEARS OLD. IT MEASURES 2 ½ IN DIAMETER.
